Two decades serving founders

Jackie Xu is the Founder & CEO of Xu Talent. Most recently, she had a decade-long tenure at Kleiner Perkins as an Operating Partner, leading the Talent Function. There she partnered with hundreds of founders to assemble their leadership teams from series A through IPO. During her time, she launched the annual KP People Report, providing insights/ benchmarking data from thousands of startups (not limited to the KP portfolio).

Prior to that, Jackie was part of the initial recruiting team at Twitter. She later led the Engineering recruiting org, and partnered with Twitter’s executive leadership on strategic acquisitions. She began her tech career at Facebook where she was vital in building out the Infra and ML Engineering orgs.

Earlier in her career, Jackie gained experience in the Exec Search industry placing senior executives at Hedge Funds, and worked in Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs in New York City.

Jackie graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in Finance. She grew up in San Francisco after her family immigrated from Shanghai. She has a deep appreciation for food & wine, and is a certified sommelier.
